My work has been shaped by more than professional education and clinical training. It has been shaped by lived experience.
My own healing journey began in the mid-1980s, when illness propelled me into a search for answers that extended beyond the conventional understanding of health and healing. What began as a personal necessity became a lifelong exploration of consciousness, trauma, the human energy system, transformation, and the deeper questions of who we are and what allows us to heal.
Over the decades, my personal journey and professional work have continued to inform one another. My background in social work, counselling, educational psychology, trauma work, and human services provides an important clinical foundation. At the same time, years of lived experience and study have led me to explore dimensions of healing that are not fully described by any single discipline.
Today, I understand my work through four complementary lenses—not as four separate practices, but as four ways of looking at the same human experience that allow me to approach healing from multiple dimensions without requiring one perspective to explain everything:
This lens grounds my work in established understandings of trauma, attachment, cognition, emotion, behaviour, nervous-system regulation, relational attunement, and the mind-body connection. It helps me translate profound inner experiences into practical therapeutic processes that can support meaningful change in everyday life.
This lens explores consciousness, intuition, energy, spiritual identity, higher states of awareness, and the possibility that our experience of ourselves extends beyond the purely physical. It creates space for questions of soul, purpose, interconnectedness, and the deeper nature of human existence.
Alchemy provides a language for transformation. Rather than viewing our wounds, patterns, and life experiences simply as things to eliminate, this lens asks what they may become when consciously worked with. Pain can become wisdom. Fragmentation can move toward integration. Old identities can give way to a more authentic expression of self.
This lens brings curiosity to concepts such as energy, information, interconnected systems, observation, probability, and the nature of physical reality. I draw upon quantum ideas as a framework for inquiry and contemplation—not as scientific proof of spiritual or metaphysical claims. It invites us to remain curious about what is known, what is emerging, and what we may not yet fully understand about consciousness and reality.
As a Master of Educational Psychology Candidate and a Registered Social Worker, my clinical training keeps the work grounded and my lived experience keeps it authentic. Metaphysics allows me to explore consciousness and spirit and alchemy provides a map for transformation. Quantum science keeps alive the inquiry into the deeper nature of reality.
At the center of all four is the individual—their experience, their inner knowing, and their capacity to discover what is meaningful and true for them.
Sacred Path Ascension Counselling grew from this integration: a lifetime of lived experience, decades of professional practice, and an ongoing exploration of healing, consciousness, and human transformation.
My work is anchored through four foundational pillars:
